Floyd's Story

Floyd P. Majka passed away on October 15, 2017. Born on March 17, 1925 in North Tonawanda, he was the son of Leon and Stephania (Surowec) Majka.
Floyd worked for Wurlitzer for 35 years, where he was the personnel director, and also for Morton-Thiokol-ATK in Ogden, UT where he was the safety director, retiring in January of 1993. He belonged to numerous clubs and organizations.
Floyd is survived by his wife, Marian (nee Grudzinska) Majka; sons, Andrew (Lynne), Philip (Sue Ann), and Anthony (Holly); four granddaughters, predeceased by one granddaughter; two sisters and four brothers; and also several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call on Saturday, October 21 from 7-9 PM and on Sunday, October 22 from 2-7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 23 at 10 AM in All Saints Parish, 76 Church St., Lockport. Entombment will be in Queen of Heaven Mausoleum.
