I remember my first day in Lockport Sr. High School (LSHS). It was in November of 1962 of my sophomore year and my family had moved to Lockport from Medina. Although Medina isn’t that far away, it might as well have been thousands of miles because I knew no one. I was a scared and shy 15 year old. On my first day at the school, I was greeted by Mr. Hutchinson, who was assigned to be my guidance counselor. What a lucky break for me. He was wonderful. He took me around to my classes and introduced me to one of the students in my class who was a great help to me. All through my years at LSHS he guided me with my selection of classes and later colleges. In 2016 I was honored by Lockport... High School as a Distinguished Alumna. In my speech I gave Mr. Hutchinson a great deal of credit for my success. My condolences to his family. He was a wonderful person and a dedicated educator.Read more

Steve and Scott
It is with great sadness that I am hearing about your father's death. He was a wonderful teacher, had a great sense of humor and enjoyed his ham radio a great deal. I have thought of all of you as I drive by your family home. My prayers go out to you and your families. I would love to be able to contact you personally. God be with you through the days ahead. Sincerely Kathy Pease
