E. Madeline's Story
E. Madeline (Freck) Miller, 95, of Ridgewood, wife of the late Ronald Miller, entered into rest at the home of her daughter, surrounded by her family. Born on January 24, 1922 in Tonawanda, NY, to the late Harry and Jeanie (Subberra) Freck.
Madeline married Ronald Miller on September 13, 1941. She was the cafeteria manager at Newfane Central School, retiring in 1991 after 38 years. Madeline was a member of the Newfane and Barker Seniors and loved to travel.
Surviving is her daughter, Beverly Miller; grandchildren, Tina Krueger (Jeramy Huber), Pam (Fred) Spinder, Brian (Rhonda) Miller), Jim Miller (Debra Mitchell), Chris (Monica) Miller, Dennis (Lee) Carroll, Mary Alice (Randy) Carr, Kevin (Lielah) Carroll, Kelly (Chad) Digsby, Kathleen Carroll (Shena Mason); her great-grandchildren, Ashlee (Billy) Centner, Cortney (Matt) Krueger, Michael Krueger, Tyler Spinder, Nicholas Spinder, Jeffrey Hamm, Erin Miller, Cameron Miller, Danielle Carroll, Matt Carroll, Cassandra Carr, Jenna (John) Sweeney, Alaina Carroll, Natalie Hahn, Jade Gailie and Eric Gailie. Also surviving are her great-great-grandchildren, Olivia Krueger, Jordyn Centner, Camden Stitt, Hunter Sweeney and Emily Sweeney. Madeline is predeceased by her daughter, Bonnie Carroll; son-in-law, John Carroll; and a brother, LaVelle Freck.
Funeral services were held privately with her family. Burial will be in Wrights Corners Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC. Memorial donations may be made to Niagara Hospice or a charity of one's choice.
