Wonderful person and friend from high school years and the store on Roosevelt beach. A kind hearted, easy going friend who could make you feel better by just being around him. He will be missed in Wilson by so many who knew him. RIP Dudley, you will be missed by all those who interacted with you through the years. You will always be a fond memory to those who shared your life and now we will share those memories of you while you rest in peace with GOD.

Dudley is fondly remembered by me- even though I have not lived in Wilson since the early 80's. Such a pleasant man.
Prayer for his family- that they know Gods presence and Christ as their Savior.
Prayer for the people of Wilson- to emulate Dudley's example.

Dudely was different, but we all are different. I am glad to call him a friend. He always walked by and said hi to me when he saw me, even when I did not see him first. . Very smart and well read man. He also LOVED Wilson, It will not be the same. It will be different not seeing him being Dudley, when I am in town. Nothing but good memories from me. Be well my friend!

I am truly sorry for your family's loss. Dudley was a great guy who always had a story to tell. He was probably the most popular person in our small town. Thank you for looking out for us all Dudley. Rest in peace my friend. You will be sadly missed.

Dudley was unique guy definitely one in a million but I say that with admiration I think we all have some priceless memorys of him he was amazing person if you grew up in Wilson there's no way you wouldn't know him his obituary doesn't touch the person he really was it doesn't give him enough credit he's Nortorious we all have story's of him that would leave you laughing uncontrollably or red in the face lol but he was always first willing to lend a hand and would give you the shirt off your back. Or a can of cat food he is loved and missed by many people he protected Wilson and the town will never be the same without him being seen on his bike patrolling. R.I.P Dudley

I am so sorry for your loss. My family and I will be out of town this weekend and will not be able to make the services. I have great memories of Dudley. He stayed on our porch for a few weeks when I was about 16 and I would sneak in and there he would be sharpening his very large knife and he would just say hi Niki! Lol! He has always said hello to me every time I seen him. I and Wilson sure will miss him.
