Dudley C. Jackson

Events

Dudley passed away peacefully at home on June 4, 2019. Born in Lockport, he was the youngest child of Arthur E. and Belva C. (Swank) Jackson.
He was a 1968 graduate of Lockport Senior High School and a 1972 graduate of Canisus College. Thereafter, he graduated from the Professional Golf Association Management School in Florida and became a professional golfer, and worked locally and regionally as a club pro until his passing. Dudley's passion was his ability to teach, as hundreds of local golfers will attest. In his younger years, Dudley was also an accomplished hockey player playing with several regional hockey teams. In 2018, Dudley was inducted into the Lockport Hall of Fame of Hockey, which Dudley accepted with great pride.
He was survived by his two children, Carly Jackson of Nashville, TN, and Bradley A. Jackson of Amherst, NY; and two siblings, Charlene Beck of Foorhees, New Jersey, and Arthur E. (Kathleen) Jackson of Lockport.
Relative and friends are invited to call Friday, June 7th from 4-7 PM at Prudden & and Kandt, 242 Genesee, Lockport, NY, where funeral services will be held Saturday, June 8th at 11 AM.
In lieu of flowers please donate in Dudley's name to the Cornerstone Arena Youth Hockey program in Lockport or a charity of your choice.

And to think Dudley's hockey skating prowess began at our neighborhood skating mecca--Roger's Avenue Park! He was quite a talented guy! May your memories comfort you, Jacksons. RIP Dudley .

Art and family, my condolences on the passing of Dudley. He was the pro at Sheldridge when I played there, and was always pleasant and accessible.
