David R. Hulshoff of Lockport, NY and The Villages, FL, entered into rest on January 7, 2018. Born on February 10, 1948, David was the son of the late Donald Hulshoff and Edith Nasca.
He was a 1968 graduate of Lockport Senior High School. David was a decorated veteran of the Vietnam War and was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star Medal with 'V' device for exceptional valorous actions under combat conditions. David retired from Lockport Savings Bank and the U-C Coatings Corporation. He spent his final years in The Villages, FL., where he was an avid golfer and sports enthusiast, including being a fan of the Buffalo Bills and the Ohio State Buckeyes. Dave really enjoyed his friends, both in Lockport and in The Villages. David is the father of David (Angie) Hulshoff; grandfather of Samuel, David and Nolan; brother of Virginia (Thomas) Mulvey, Jeffrey (Carole) Hulshoff, Kevin Hulshoff and Samuel (Christine) Wedderburn and the late Nancy Hulshoff; Uncle of Kristine (Craig) Towlson, Brian Mulvey, Melissa (Christopher) Bird, Jessica (Kevin) Mohr, Jared (Meaghan) Hulshoff, Bradley (Jessica) Hulshoff and Rachel Hulshoff.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
