Constance 'Connie''s Story
Constance 'Connie' Salmeri, age 75 of Newfane, died Sunday, May 7, 2017 at her home under the loving care of her family and Niagara Hospice. Connie was born April 14, 1942 in Wilson, the daughter of the late Seymour 'Pat' and Lucille (Britton) Martin.
She lived most of her life in Wilson before moving to Newfane 10 years ago. Connie had worked on the assembly line at Harrison Radiator from 1962 to 1967. On July 22, 1975 she married Frank Salmeri. Frank predeceased her in 1986. Connie was a past President of the American Legion B. Leo Dolan Post Ladies Auxiliary in Lockport.
She is survived by her children, Harold Wollaber (Stacy Shimshack) of the Town of Cambria, Carl Wollaber of Lockport, Patti Sorrento (John Kos) of DuBois, PA, and Michelle (Joel) Hare of Newfane; her brothers, Ronald (Molly) and Pat (Micki) Martin; her sisters, Karen (Richard) Bohn and Cherri Potocki; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Joyce Kos; and a brother, Jim Martin.
Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville, on Tuesday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 10, at 11:00 AM in the funeral home, with the Rev. J. Fay Cleveland officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Wilson.
