Claude's Story

Claude W. Bullard, 90 of Lockport, NY, husband of Vera (Bassler) Bullard, entered into rest on Monday, September 4, 2017 at home. Born on April 03, 1927 in Newfane, NY to the late Claude G. and Emma (Miller) Bullard.
He attended Newfane schools. Claude served in the United States Army from 1945 to 1947. He worked for Simonds Saw and Steel for 34 years, retiring in 1982. Claude married Vera H. Bassler on July 15, 1950 and he was a member of the Concordia Lutheran Church and the American Legion Post 873.
Surviving is his wife, Vera; his daughters, Susan (Richard) McKie and Nancy Bartow; grandchildren, Stephen (Christine) McKie, Christopher (Jennifer) McKie, Roslyn (Ryan) Rinaldo and Amber Bartow; also his great-grandchildren, Megan and Madison McKie, Emma, Ben and Lily Mckie, William and Evelyn Rinaldo. Also survived by a special niece, Ann Schermerhorn; and several other nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a son, the late William C. Bullard.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 10:30 AM in the First Trinity Lutheran Church, 1570 Niagara Falls Blvd., Tonawanda, NY 14150. Burial will be held at 1:30 PM in Corwin Cemetery, Newfane, NY.
