Barbara Wells's Story
Barbara Wells Irwin entered into rest Monday, March 5, 2018. She was born in Lockport on July 4, 1937 to Hayes and Helen (nee MacMillen) Wells.
She attended Lockport schools, completing two and half years of high school. She was a majorette for the American Legion Band, worked for Chet's, LaPort's and Mt. View Health Facility from which she retired in the late 80s. She was a member of the Navy Marine Club Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling, golf and browsing through many photos of her family.
She was the wife of Robert Irwin of Lockport. Aunt, Lorraine Walker; uncle, Harold Walker; aunt, Viola Walker; brothers, Ken (Sally) Wells, Bill (late Dorothy) Wells; step-brother, Robert Horton; Barbara's sons, Nickolas Sr. and Frank Rubert; grandson, Nickolas Jr.; granddaughter, Jillian; numerous nieces and nephews. Also step-sons, Wayne and Frank Irwin; step-daughters, Debra Wills and Laurie Kelley; step-granddaughter, Lauren Landrigan; and step-grandson, John Pittsley III. She was predeceased by her brother, Harold "Butch" Wells; and son, Michael Rubert.
She chose, upon her death, to be sent to the University of Buffalo School of Medicine. No services will be held.
